Mentoring Practices

SECT envisions an inclusive framework aimed at fostering the ongoing improvement of teacher competencies and effectiveness. In pursuit of this vision, we have introduced a mentorship program within schools and school systems to ensure the sustainability of reformed practices. This initiative was launched last year and was initially implemented within schools who have partnered with our interventions, including SVVK, VVSEI, and those within the Anekal taluk. Through this mentorship program, experienced teachers provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to their peers, thereby fostering a culture of continuous growth and improvement. By leveraging the expertise and insights of seasoned mentors, we aim to cultivate a supportive ecosystem where teachers can collectively contribute to enhanced educational outcomes. This proactive approach underscores our commitment to nurturing a community of educators dedicated to excellence in teaching and learning.

The objectives of this program are to,

  • sustain the reformed practices initiated in schools/school systems

  • support the change makers/heads to establish mentoring systems

  • scaffold and handhold the mentors to guide the mentees
