Although Kannada serves as the regional and official language of Karnataka state, and is the mother tongue of 66.5% of children in the region, many struggle to grasp its intricacies. Additionally, teachers often lack the necessary proficiency to cultivate Kannada language skills in their students. To address this issue, we conducted a survey to assess the Kannada literacy abilities of children aged 3 to 8 years in various areas of Bangalore and across Karnataka. Drawing from the insights gained, we are currently crafting training modules to empower teachers in effectively nurturing foundational Kannada literacy skills among students within this age group
